Skin Cancer and Reconstructive Surgery Center is Orange County’s premier facility for skin cancer management. We are located in the heart of Newport Beach, at Fashion Island off of Pacific Coast Highway. We are unique from other dermatologic offices and plastic surgery centers because we offer every patient a complete, customizable plan for skin cancer management in one, convenient location.
Multiple Skin Cancer Specialists in One Location
Our board certified skin cancer specialists include dermatologists, dermatopathologists, radiation oncologists, and facial and ophthalmic plastic surgeons. Together we offer specialized treatment options that range from non-surgical cure like Photodynamic Therapy, Superficial Radiotherapy, and topical chemotherapy, to Mohs excision in combination with closure and, in some instances, facial reconstruction by our double board certified plastic surgeons.
Multiple Skin Cancer Treatment Options in One Location
Our facility is equipped with a medical clinic for regular appointments including general and cosmetic dermatological appointments, consultations for plastic and reconstructive surgery, and pre-operative and post-operative appointments. Additionally, we have a Joint Commission Accredited Ambulatory Surgery Center, equipped with a Mohs laboratory for rapid onsite analysis of tissue specimen, and rooms dedicated to PDT and SRT. The combination of specialists and treatment options available at SCARS Center provides our patients with the convenience and quality of service every person deserves after a skin cancer diagnosis.
A Comprehensive Approach to Recovery
For post treatment recovery, SCARS Center patients often visit our sister facility, The Appearance Center of Newport Beach. At the Appearance Center patients have access to rejuvenative procedures for skin health and maintenance such as laser treatments for scar revision and esthetician services to promote skin cancer prevention.
Specialized Care for Every Patient
Due to the quality of our specialists’ work, we have become a major treatment source for patients of referring physicians in Orange County and surrounding areas. We are able to accommodate referred patients at any stage in their skin cancer recovery. In some instances this means we physically remove or treat the cancer, then close or reconstruct the skin cancer defect, whereas in other instances we simply complete a single or multi stage reconstruction where a defect has previously been made by the patient’s referring dermatologist. This is most common in cases involving esthetically sensitive areas of the face, such as the nose, eyelids, lips, cheeks, and ears.
